Anastasia Beverly Hills 2012 Holiday Sets:Swatches & Review

Image
I know I know---it's halfway through January and I'm only now touching on some holiday stuff. I've had these Anastasia Beverly Hills Holiday sets for about two months and I've really enjoyed playing with them. I didn't have time to do much blogging before the holidays so unfortunately I couldn't get this post up when they first came out. I have seen them on the Anastasia website though ( here ) so you may still be able to get ahold of them! First up is the "Kisses On My List" lipgloss set. L-R: Jolene, Sharona, Roxanne, Lola, Maggie May, Moi These are the 6 closses included in the kit. It contains three Hyperfull Glosses, Sharona, Maggie May, & Moi. These are supposed to be hydrating and on the sheer side. I however found that all of the lipglosses were pretty pigmented and could easily be worn alone. The other three, Jolene, Roxanne, & Lola are the Hypercolor glosses---they are supposed to "react with your skin's chemistr...

Anastasia Beverly Hills See & Be Seen Kit!

Image
Hey everyone! I have a really exciting limited edition kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills to show you today! I am a huge fan of the Anastasia's brow products--I love the brow powder. I use "Brunette" nearly every day to fill in my brows. I am just thrilled that they wanted me to try out some of their other products!! I wasn't quite sure what to expect since I hadn't tried any of their makeup products before. I was pleasantly surprised--the quality is really impressive! This particular kit is called See and Be Seen!  The kit comes with an eyeshadow duo, two lipglosses, and a tinted brow gel! On Set Illumin8 Eyeshadow Duo On Set Illumin8 Eyeshadow Duo : The color on the left is a shimmering peachy apricot while the right side is a very warm orangey bronze. The colors are seriously gorgeous!! I was also pleasantly surprised to find that I do not own anything similar to them (look below at my comparison swatches!). They are silky smooth, blend easily, and ar...

New Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses!

Image
I recently bought 3 new colorburst lipglosses that came out with the Revlon Spice It Up Holiday Collection. I came across the display at a grocery store: As you may know from reading my blog, Revlon makes some of my favorite lip products! I couldn't resist picking up a few! L-R Cheers, Ignite, Chilled   Cheers: a opaque raspberry color and my personal favorite! It's very vibrant and gorgeous on the lips! Ignite: a glittery, warm red/orange Chilled: sheer and colorless with lots of shimmer. I've really been wanting a clear lipgloss that could be applied over any color for extra oomph! Ignite and Chilled both have glitter in them--the texture is a bit more gritty, but I personally don't mind it. I think it gives a really pretty effect on the lips! If you hate the feeling of glitter, then stick to the creamier glosses from the collection! Here's a comparison to some other Colorburst Lipglosses I have... L-R Hot Pink, Bordeux, Cheers, Ignite, Str...

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss Swatches

I've had these glosses for a few months now, but I thought I would add some pictures of them. I was able to get a bunch of them because Ulta was having a Revlon buy 1 get 1 free deal at the time and i just couldn't resist! ;) Here's some swatches and info! L-R: Gold Dust, Bordeaux, Rose Pearl, Strawberry, Peony, Hot Pink, Orchid, Pink Ice swatches in natural light...the four on the right are super lustrous glosses: L-R Peach Petal, Nude Lustre, Coral Reef, Pink Whisper swatches with flash the packaging has the quilted pattern on the cap just like the revlon colorburst lipsticks. very sleek looking! Wand is flexible and sort of a flat shape..i find it applies the gloss nicely but i'm not too picky about applicators ;) I REALLY love these glosses. I think the colors are beautiful, really pigmented, and best of all they're very affordable (especially with drugstore coupons)! They last a few hours on me, probably 2-3 which might not seem like a lot to some people...
