Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer

Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you a new(ish) drugstore product I've been really loving. I don't have too many under-eye issues--i usually have a bit of darkness but it's not too bad. I have always concentrated on covering up acne scars rather than my under-eye lol! Anyway, I picked up the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer and was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved it!

It comes in a twist pen which I personally don't mind. It took alot of clicks to initially get the product through so make sure to keep twisting until it comes out lol! I've found that i only need one or two clicks of product per eye and then I still have some left over to apply around the nose, mouth and chin.
I really, really love the consistency and coverage that I get from it. It feels very moisturizing under the eye and blends nicely so there is no tugging under the eye. It's not too thick or too runny, it's really the perfect in between consistency. I usually use my Bobbi Brown corrector and I actually think I prefer the Maybelline dream lumi---although the corrector gives great coverage, I sometimes find it doesn't blend as nicely and there is a bit of tugging on the skin no matter how I apply it. It's interesting that Maybelline calls it a "highlighting" concealer---although it does provide a brightening effect, I would assume it to have much less pigmentation and have more of a sheen. It's actually very pigmented for what I need and really does cover my mild under-eye darkness perfectly. Those with heavier under-eye circles or discoloration may find this does not provide enough coverage (although I do find dream lumi to be very buildable!). I also wouldn't recommend using it on blemishes or acne scars--I personally prefer a thicker more opaque type of concealer. Additionally, I didn't have any issues with creasing or cakiness--I always set my concealer with powder to avoid that!

Here's the swatch. I am around NC20-25 and wear the color Nude. It's a light, yellowish shade. It's the perfect shade for me! I may pick up Radiant as well!
I'm so happy to have found such an affordable product that I truly love. I believe it retails for $6.99 but you can always wait for a coupon when purchasing at a drugstore or Ulta! Once I'm done with my Bobbi Brown corrector I will definitely save my money and purchase this Maybelline one again! My only complaint with buying at the drugstore is that you can't swatch the makeup before buying--I agonized over what shade to buy and luckily Nude proved to be the perfect match. I would try to check it out in store so you can see what would be the best shade for your skin color.

I used this concealer in a few of my past FOTD's you can see here and here!

Have you tried the Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer? What's your favorite concealer at the moment?!

**EDITED** Unfortunately, I have a suspicion that this concealer was the source of some cheek breakouts so I have had to stop using it. It took a while to realize. I didn't think it was the cause of it but after playing around with different products and my skincare, I realized this was the culprit. Sadly, trying new products is always a risk with acne prone skin like mine!  It's so awful because I love everything else about the concealer--the coverage, lightness, shade, etc. Darn my skin! I still say you should try it out and see how it works for you since everyone's skin is different.

  1. This is my favourite undereye concealer/highlighter - I converted to this from YSL!

  2. I'm loving Too Faced Absolutely Flawless concealer ATM. I used to think it creased but actually you just have to set it with lots of powder (I go through phases of completely avoiding powder, so I had to test it out).
