Reviva Labs Makeup Primer Review and giveaway (CLOSED)!!!!

A while ago I was contacted by Anna from Reviva Labs to review one of their most popular products, the Reviva Labs Makeup Primer. I was very excited because I've always been curious about Reviva Labs--I've seen their products at my nearby Ulta and Whole Foods Market.

Some quick information on Reviva Labs that I gathered from their site that I found interesting:
-"For over 38 Years Reviva Labs has been producing all natural skin-care products that help leave your skin healthier and more youthful-looking."
-"No animal testing! Before it was even an issue (way back in 1973), we announced the testing of our products in skin-care salons rather than on animals"
-The first to introduce exfoliation to america...with our European LIGHT SKIN PEEL
(We were explaining the importance of exfoliation years before the cosmetics giants introduced their versions)

Now onto the Makeup Primer. It is a silicone based primer that is not only fragrance free but also packed with some pretty good things for your skin, like COQ10 (a protective antioxidant), olive oil, vitamin D3 and vitamin A. If you're new to primers, makeup primers are essentially a base for your makeup. Primers should smooth your skin out so your makeup can apply easily and hopefully make your makeup last longer as well. This primer did all that and more!

How to use: " Apply over moisturizer or instead of moisturizer. Lines fill in, pores are concealed, excess oil is controlled. Skin so touchable, so silky smooth, you will find it hard to believe."
I literally do one pump for a pea sized amount and it is enough to cover my entire face. I always apply right after my skincare routine and before I apply any foundation or concealer.

I love the packaging. The primer comes in a small bottle with a pump. I love that it is in a pump instead of in a squeeze tube or tub. It's hygenic and one pump yields the perfect amount!
Ingredients! I love that it's paraben free!
I LOVE this primer. With any new makeup product, I'm always worried that something new will cause my skin to breakout. I've also experienced breakouts from silicone based primers in the past (such as Smashbox) so I did not have the highest expectations. I was VERY wrong!! I'm pleased to report that I did not break out or experience any irritation from this primer! It claims to be non-comedogenic and is fragrance free, so it didn't clog my pores or cause me to break out! One thing to note is how nice it is to see a simple ingredients list that isn't pages long lol!

I've also found that it really does help my makeup stay on much longer than my usual primers and keeps my oily skin at bay for hours and hours . If you want to look perfect for a night out, this primer will definitely help achieve that goal. For those who aren't oily like me, I think it would also work for dry skin types as well because of how moisturizing it feels on my face. The primer absorbs into the skin easily and just makes everything feel sooooo smooth and silky--my skin has never felt this soft before. It makes makeup glide on easily and it really does help to blur imperfections (like larger pores) and make my skin look more polished. I can definitely tell it makes my smile lines and acne scars look and feel smoother.

I really like the consistency of the primer. It's completely clear and has a very moisturizing, gel texture. Once applied it absorbs into the skin very quickly and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. It makes my skin feel perfectly hydrated.
This is the pea sized amount you get from one pump of the makeup primer! The perfect amount for the entire face!
The Reviva Labs Makeup Primer retails for $19.50 for 1 fl.oz of product. The price is much more affordable in comparison to other brands---for example, Smashbox and Laura Mercier both have primers that are over double the cost for the same amount of product.

I really can't say enough good things about this primer! It makes my skin look smooth and feel silky and enhances my makeup application and longevity. It also shockingly, kept my face from getting too oily--something many other primers have failed at. This is definitely a primer I would recommend to everyone! I like my Laura Mercier primers for lighter makeup days but they never really wowed me like this one. If I ever get through the bottle of Reviva labs makeup primer I will most definitely be repurchasing!!
